Despite the trials and tribulations caused by Corona we have been out helping on events through 2021. The virus has had a big impact on live events so it’s been a tough year with many cancelations again on long standing events. However the Vaccine program has got us through to December with people being able to have some level of normality.
Funeral Live have been a sad fact of the pandemic, initially for families the restrictions on attendees was terrible and being able to share that in some way has been a huge help for them. Families continue to use live streams and recordings to share these final journeys with wider family and friends. Working with Loud and Bright we have helped to deliver a professional and caring stream/video offering to grieving families.
Carl Tait Carlisle DJ ran the “Culture” event near Walton in Cumbria. For the live DJ set Tobin Stage ran Loud and Bright’s Funktion One Dance Stack while LB was down at another event. One of the first events of the post Lockdown ear, on a lovely sunny weekend afternoon. Everyone had a good time and the sound was awesome.. We got the F1 setup and gave it a little warm up with Youth 8500 from Look Mum No Computer
Solfest… This was much anticipated, with lots of events being cancelled we had our summer hopes pinned on this 4 day event. Working mostly with Load and Bright and a Little assistance to Fluid Productions.
L&B Provided the lighting and control for the Bar Tent. It was the first proper outing for the full titan Console and we spent the entire weekend running the lights for all manner of bands including the Buzzcocks and Razorlight ( see below ) not it’s not our recording and the sound was great in real life..
We also helped L&B out with the setups in the Hive with the Function One Dance Stack and also equipment in the Tarn Tent.
Barrow Halloween.. Another event with L&B Was a first floor gig in Cloud 9. This was a bit of a shock to find it was first floor venue and we probably had 2 Tons of equipment in the vans. The organisers helped us with that though.
We had the whole of the Funktion One Stack with a first trip out for the GSB Ground Stack Boards, which made the setup much easier, safer and gave a better sound stage https://www.funktion-one.com/dl/files/Evo%20ground%20stack_G.pdf
We also had the Medium lighting package, hazer and some other bits and bobs. “Lazers were not ours”
It was a long night followed by a long drive home.

A local Carlisle nightspot concrete closed a couple of years ago but new management is looking to use the venue again full time so have been working with Loud and Bright on a couple of events with The Sounds systems they have. There may be a longer term project so we are helping with the install and testing of options From L&B
Local Primary “Stanwix School” has been using a simple but effective lighting rig and PA for their Christmas production. In association with L&B we have been running this no Audience event. Lets hope next year parents can see it all in person.
After seeing L&B’s offering at a running event in the lakes we were asked to help out with a 3 day event down in wales. Quite a trip with a stack of PA/Lighting and some interesting weather to contend with. But it all went down well.
Workington Light Trail, A wet and windy weekend in early December and we are helping out again with Fluid Productions on a light trail event in Workington. Setup and operation of lighting and sound.
There has been much more, not to the level one would expect in a normal year but it’s been good to be getting out and working on events that make the public have fun, and on streams that help families in their time of need.
